STORYTELLER BIO:
Meher (she/her) is an activist, a traveler, and a music and arts lover. She is also a senior leader in the anti-violence space and applies a feminist and intersectional lens to her work on equity and justice. Over the last two decades, she has successfully led programs and engaged with different marginalized communities on gender justice, immigrant rights, workforce development, language justice, public health, and youth empowerment. Work and leisure have led Meher to spend time in different parts of the world - sometimes very remote and rough areas that have brought out the best learnings in her life. Meher has recently stepped into the storytelling realm and brings her rich and vast life experiences to it. She lives in Chicago, a city she loves deeply, with her husband and nephew.
